A contemporary shaker kitchen has become a popular kitchen style amongst those wanting to elevate their homes to align with current home fashion.

This Kitchen Project
The Devizes project was bold and contemporary shaker kitchen spray-painted in Hague Blue. The cabinet doors help to combine several styles together through the use of reeded panels and fluted glass. Unlacquered antique brass handles were implemented to compliment the striking contemporary shaker design and stand out from the Hague Blue colour of the cabinetry.
In contrast to the blue cabinets, adding sleek white worktops really brightened the room. We incorporated 12mm thick Laminam porcelain worktops and matching white porcelain bookmatched splash-backs to complete the look.
But we didn’t just stop at appearances. This contemporary shaker kitchen demonstrates how functionality and beauty can blend together successfully.
We fitted modern wifi-enabled cooking appliances from Neff and we integrated them into the limed-oak cabinetry. To improve storage, we fitted a tall larder storage and to free up work space we added a new Quooker Flex tap and Cube. Unlike standard taps, this will offer a variety of different water outputs including chilled filtered, chilled sparkling and boiling as well as regular hot and cold settings.
