Project Brief
The brief for this project was to create a kitchen that radiated warmth and elegance while maintaining a sense of sophistication in line with the home’s Georgian character. The design needed to integrate modern technology discreetly, use high-quality materials throughout, and reflect a palette that felt inviting yet refined.
Our Approach
This kitchen was designed and delivered in close collaboration with Lucy Anderson Interiors, who oversaw the building preparations and interior design. Working together, we ensured the kitchen became not only a practical cooking space but also a central gathering point for the home.
Cheverell was responsible for the bespoke kitchen design, manufacture and installation, including a full dry-fit of the cabinetry and appliances. Every element was considered in detail to create a space that blends traditional charm with contemporary performance.
Design Highlights & Partner Collaborations
The cabinetry, designed and handcrafted by Cheverell, was finished in a soft combination of Farrow & Ball and Little Greene Paint Company shades, creating contrast between lighter tones and deeper green accents. This colour palette gives the kitchen both balance and character, adding to the sophistication of the design.
Work surfaces from Landford Stone provide strength and timeless beauty, while subtle detailing such as handles by Armac Martin enhances the cabinetry with understated elegance. A Shaws of Darwen sink was selected for its heritage appeal, paired with discreet yet high-performing appliances from Gaggenau, Liebherr and Westin Hoods.
The interior design by Lucy Anderson Interiors was carefully layered to create warmth and comfort. Lewis & Wood fabrics were used for blinds, while a characterful rug from OKA adds texture underfoot. Pendant lighting from Jim Lawrence completes the scheme, casting soft light across the space and enhancing its welcoming atmosphere.
The kitchen was beautifully styled by Lucy Anderson Interiors and captured by Adam Carter Photography, allowing the craftsmanship and design to be appreciated in every detail.
The Result
The Marlborough Georgian Kitchen is a space where refined elegance meets everyday practicality. With a careful balance of colour, materials and design, the kitchen feels both sophisticated and homely. Discreet appliances, hand-finished cabinetry and layered interior details create a warm and welcoming environment, perfect for gathering, celebrating, and enjoying daily life.
This project is also a showcase of collaboration, highlighting the value of working alongside talented interior designers to deliver kitchens that are not only functional but also deeply personal and unique to each home.
